Diane Rosky | Rosky Legal Ed

Rosky Legal Education was founded by Dianne Rosky, a lifelong devotee of words and language. Dianne is well qualified to train lawyers in writing and speaking skills: she has practiced at two top New York law firms, served as a law clerk for a federal judge, and taught legal writing and other lawyering skills at New York University Law School. At Harvard Law School, she was an Editor of the Harvard Law Review and a magna cum laude graduate.

Dianne established Rosky Legal Education LLC in 2004 to help practicing lawyers improve their writing and speaking skills. Since then, Rosky Legal Education LLC has grown to a full-service communications training firm, offering not only writing training but editing, accent-reduction, and speech coaching as well. We serve major law firms and corporations in New York, in other major U.S. cities, and internationally.

As most of our team members are former large-firm associates, we understand the pressures and expectations faced by associates at top firms.

Our goals are to:

  • demystify the process of learning to write and speak effectively,

  • make information and skills accessible to our clients by offering attentive, hands-on group and individual training, and

  • ease the anxiety that often accompanies efforts to work on these core skills.

To meet these goals, we’ve designed our own custom method of teaching, which is focused on building our clients’ confidence as well as their skills. We offer efficient, effective training programs, with an emphasis on providing strategies that lawyers can use immediately to bring their communication skills, and their professional identity, to the next level.

Dianne Rosky, J.D.Founder & Principal:

Before founding Rosky Legal Education in 2003, Dianne taught legal writing and other lawyering skills in the Lawyering Program at New York University School of Law. Dianne is now an Adjunct Professor at NYU School of Law, where she teaches Legal English and U.S. Law to international LL.M. students.

Dianne has practiced commercial litigation at two leading New York firms: Sullivan & Cromwell and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. At Sullivan & Cromwell, she was selected as the firm’s Pro Bono Fellow to litigate prisoners’ federal civil rights actions. Dianne is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, where she was an Editor of the Harvard Law Review. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert W. Sweet of the Southern District of New York.
