Kori Carew | Bridge 68
My mission is to ignite courageous living that tears down problematic paradigms and reflects light, justice, authenticity and belonging. I believe people matter. Culture matters and drives the future. We, together, get to write the story of us and what our reality will be and I want to be part of that journey for individuals and groups.
My identity goes beyond my work and embraces all the things that shape me. I am a people inclusion strategist, advocate, speaker, writer, status quo disruptor, truthteller, child of God, wife and mother of two curly-haired, wise, energetic, fierce, spitfire daughters. My family is multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-religious and spans multiple nationalities. I bring a fierce love of community and belonging that transcends differences to all of my work, ministry and life. I love to sing, cook, entertain, dance in the hallways at work and read when I am not equipping leaders to be inclusive, interrupt bias and disrupt the status quo. Through my work I focus on developing and implementing strategies for individual career, people development, leadership development and diversity and inclusion success, and help organizations build bridges across differences and improve inclusion. From facilitating small group discussions, speaking to boards or non-profit leaders to educate a crowd of a thousand plus people or delivering a TEDx, I bring awareness and tools through engaging, thoughtful, and truthful speaking.
When I am not "working" I focus my voice and talent on issues of gender equity and rights, inclusion, and human and civil rights, serving in my church and community, and cherishing my phenomenal tribe and community. I am energized by helping people live their best lives.
I am an attorney, Certified Dare to Lead Facilitator, an Enneagram 1 (improver) and Conscious Reformer on the Insight Profiles Discovery wheel (blue). My Gallup CliftonStrengths top 5 are: connectedness, achiever, leaner, responsibility and context. I am also an IDI (Intercultural Development Inventory, which is the leading assessment tool to build intercultural competence) Qualified Administrator and trained in Gallup's CliftonStrengths.
